BRICS: XI JINPING, VLADIMIR PUTIN E NARENDRA MODI ENTRAM NUM BAR...

Ou seja, os representantes de três países (China, Rússia e Índia) cujas populações somam apenas um bocadinho menos da metade do mundo.

«Chinese President Xi Jinping bashed the Western-imposed sanctions that have been imposed on Moscow in the backdrop of its "special military operations". He called the sanctions "a double-edged sword" that can bring disasters to people around the world. Notably, his statement came during an opening ceremony of the BRICS Business Forum on Wednesday. According to the news agency Xinhua, the Chinese President has termed the sanctions a "politicised" step and added the actions were taken with an aim to weaponise the global economy.

Without naming the Biden administration, Jinping said that the sanctions were not imposed with an intention to penalise Moscow but to prove its dominance in international financial and monetary systems. According to China's head, the actions will eventually harm others and themselves and bring disasters to people around the world. Meanwhile, later, Xi Jinping called for joint efforts to seek and safeguard peace. "The Ukraine crisis has again sounded the alarm for humanity: Countries will surely end up in security hardships if they place blind faith in their positions of strength, expand military alliances, and seek their own safety at the expense of others," said Xi. GUERRA NA UCRÂNIA: E NO FIM GANHA A CHINA?

Continuo sem perceber qual é a estratégia para enfrentar os avanços de Putin na Ucrânia, mas o problema é de certeza meu.

«China on Friday, May 27, said that the Foreign Ministers of Brazil-Russia-India-China-South Africa (BRICS) have “reached consensus on its expansion process” and have agreed to include the new developing countries. Beijing is holding a rotating Presidency of the BRICS bloc this year, and its foreign ministry said Friday that it actively supports the expansion of the five-member group. The remark comes just a day after Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that Saudi Arabia and Argentina have expressed a desire to join the group.

The BRICS May 19 Foreign Ministers’ virtual meeting included Foreign Ministers of Argentina, Egypt, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Nigeria, Senegal and Thailand who were also given a formal invitation. External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar also took part in the BRICS Foreign Ministers meeting convened by his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi. BRICS' New Development Bank (NDB) has already enrolled Bangladesh, the UAE, Egypt and Uruguay as its official members.

Moscow’s Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov told state-affiliated TASS that the oil-rich Arab world countries have shown interest to join BRICS and establishing partner relations with the eight-member Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO), which includes India, Russia, Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
