Enquanto o secretário-geral da ONU fala hoje com Putin (dia 28 está previsto que fale com Zelensky), na Grã-Bretanha, o secretário de Estado das Forças Armadas, James Heappey, afirmou ser legítimo que as tropas ucranianas ataquem território russo, em resposta à invasão.
Em entrevista à Times Radio disse: "It's completely legitimate to be targeting [military sites within Russia] in order to disrupt the logistics".
E sobre o uso de material de guerra britânico nessas operações, o que poderia eventualmente dar lugar a uma internacionalizção do conflito, acrescentou: “There are lots of countries around the world that operate kit that they have imported from other countries. When those bits of kit are used we tend not to blame [the country] that manufactured it, you blame the country that fired it”.
